Do you have a Studio?
No I prefer to shoot my sessions on location. I have several locations that I shoot at in the area that I can help you choose based on your location and willingness to travel. I am also available to shoot in and around your home, corporate office just about anywhere. Some locations require permits or admission fees, clients are responsible for paying those fees if they wish to choose such a location.
How Many Photos do YOu take during our session?
I will shoot a lot of pictures. Galleries are guaranteed to have at least 25 fully edited images to shop although there is often more.
Will I get every image you shoot?
No, I will sort through the images from your session an choose the ones that are the most flattering and best fit my style of imagery. I will eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focus shots, shots with unflattering expressions etc. I don't expect you to have the expertise or time to zoom into each image to select the one with the sharpest focus or to reject the ones that are unflattering in any other way, this is part of the service that I provide.
When will I get to see my images?
I no longer offer "sneak peeks" as I feel it takes away from the excitement and surprise of the gallery reveal. You can expect to receive your gallery about 2 to 3 weeks after your session date.
How do I order my pictures?
You will receive a password protected online gallery from which you will be able to view and order your images
Will I be able to order digital negatives?
How far do you travel?
I have locations that I will help you choose within the Virginia counties of Orange, Spotsylvania, Culpeper, and Stafford as well as in the towns of Orange and Culpeper and the City of Fredericksburg. I will consider traveling further for an additional fee.
What kind of products do you offer?
Is there an extra charge for retouching?
Part of my post processing is complimentary retouching of blemishes, scars(by request), and any dirt that might have happened from shooting outdoors. I am happy to take other requests at a charge of $15 per request per image. For instance if you need me to fix chipped nail polish from an image that I will gladly take care of that for $30 on that image.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept debit and credit payments.
what happens if i need to reschedule my session
I respectfully ask that you take into consideration that I have set aside the time for your session and I have declined any other work or personal activities for the opportunity to work with you and that you please try to give at least 48 hours of notice and I will get your session rescheduled as soon as possible. However, I do understand that life happens and that in the blink of an eye things can change. In instances that are not weather related I will offer you one opportunity to reschedule at no extra fee.
What if i cancel my session all together?
Because the I will have declined any other work or personal opportunities and activities for the opportunity to work with you, if you cancel your session the session retainer fee will not be refundable.
Should I bring props?
For the traditional sessions, if there is something that you would like to bring that is of significant importance to you then you should bring it. I do recommend keeping the props to a minimum. For the Daydreamer Sessions props and styling will be discussed during the planning and preparation of your session.
dO YOU PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS?
Yes, I am now booking a limited number of weddings for 2018 and 2019.
I want a specific location, do you know if we need a permit or a fee?
Maybe. Depends on the location. Certain locations I know require permits and/or fees are Belmont, Chatham Manor, Kenmore, Snead's Farm, Rounton Farm, & Stevenson's Ridge. The safe thing is to always inquire prior to photographing because if a permit or fee is required and we don't have one or haven't paid we will be asked to leave and that would stink! In any case where a permit is required the client is responsible for obtaining the permit. Any cases where a fee is required the client will be required to submit that fee in addition to the session or wedding fee.
Do you have insurance?
YES!!! OF COURSE I DO!!!! If your venue needs a copy of my certificate of insurance I will need to know this at least 2 months in advance of your event as it takes time for my insurance company to process the request and provide the document. It may be easiest if you have your venue or coordinator get in touch with me directly as each venue has different requirements and I want to be sure to provide the document that will properly fit their needs.
Can you hold a date for me?
Dates will only be held with a signed contract and fee submission. This applies to sessions and weddings.
I love my pictures and I want to get so many different products, can i make payments?
YES! let me know and we can work out a payment schedule. Be advised that no image product digital or printed will be released until pull payment of the order has been received.
